Padel racket printing: the complete guide to options and prices

Padel is growing quickly across Europe, and with it the demand for printed padel rackets. Whether you want a racket with your own design as a gift, for your company, or simply for yourself: you have more options than you might think. Which techniques are used to print a padel racket?

Broadly speaking, there are two ways to give a padel racket its own design.

The first: rackets are made to order in the factory, usually in Asia, with the design applied during production. This is known as OEM production. The advantage is that the design is part of the racket itself, so it is very hard-wearing. The drawback is long lead times (four to eight weeks) and high minimum orders, often 12 to 24 rackets or more. Not an option for small orders or short deadlines.

The second: a standard racket is personalised in Europe by applying a high-quality full-colour film to the face, and to the side if you want it. The print is UV-resistant, weatherproof and applied with professional equipment. This is the method we use. The advantage: from 1 racket, within 7 days, and affordable. The drawback: slightly less hard-wearing than a fully printed racket, although in normal use the difference is small.

Which method suits you depends on three things: how many rackets you need, how quickly you want them, and how much absolute durability matters to you.

What can and cannot be printed?

With most suppliers, ours included, you can print almost anything, as long as the file you supply is good enough.

What works well

Company logos, names, dates, short pieces of text, abstract patterns, high-resolution photos, blocks of colour and club crests.

What works less well

Very fine detail such as line drawings thinner than 1 mm (they drop out in print), photos with heavy gradients (they can go grainy), or text smaller than 8 pt (unreadable from close up).

We check every file before we start. Within 24 hours of your order our team looks over the design by hand, and we only get in touch if something is unclear or will not come out well.

What does padel racket printing cost?

Prices depend on three factors: quantity, the level of finish (face only, or face plus side), and whether you supply a design yourself or need help with it.

For individuals, ordering a single racket: from €99.99 for a printed face, and €119.99 for Full Custom (face plus side). A blank racket without a print is €79.99. All prices include VAT and a standard protective cover; a premium protective case is €10 extra.

A Duo Deal with two Full Custom rackets costs €200, so €100 each, which works well if you play with a regular partner.

For business orders there are fixed tiered prices, ex VAT:

• From 5 rackets: €99 each
• From 10 rackets: €89 each
• From 25 rackets: €79 each
• From 50 rackets: €74 each
• From 100 rackets: a quote based on your brief

Shipping is shown separately at checkout and depends on the country: €6.95 in the Netherlands, €9.95 in Belgium and Luxembourg, €12.95 in Germany, €13.95 in France, Austria and Denmark, €16.95 in Spain, Italy and Ireland, and €17.95 in the United Kingdom, Sweden and Portugal. Outside the EU, import duties may apply and are paid by the recipient.

How long does padel racket printing take?

With us: 7 days of finishing in our workshop in the Netherlands, followed by at most 3 days with DHL to any address in Europe. Your design is checked within 24 hours of your order. Larger business orders take 7 to 14 days.

For urgent orders we can sometimes work faster, but that is not a standard service. Get in touch before you order if you are genuinely pressed for time and we will tell you what is possible.

With suppliers that work through Asia, expect four to eight weeks, sometimes longer. Factor in transport, customs and the odd delay.

Which files should you supply?

For a good print you need a vector file or a high-resolution raster file.

Files we accept:

• PNG (at least 300 DPI)
• JPG (at least 300 DPI)
• SVG (the best choice for logos)
• PDF (preferably with embedded fonts)

If all you have is a screenshot of your logo, or a file below 300 DPI, let us know. We can often help you track down a better version, or adjust the position so it still comes out well.
