Corporate padel gift: 5 reasons it actually works

The wine-or-flowers era of corporate gifting is largely behind us. Companies want something that stays with the recipient. A custom padel racket as a corporate gift is exactly that, and here are five reasons why it works.

Corporate gifts are awkward territory. Everyone sends them, and everyone forgets them. A box of chocolates, a bottle of wine, a branded item with a logo: useful, but not memorable. And at a time when most business relationships are maintained on screen, a physical gift that does land is worth more than it used to be.

In this guide: why a corporate padel gift works well, when to choose it and when not to, and what it actually delivers. For the wider business approach, read padel racket with a logo for businesses and teams; for gifting in general, see padel gift ideas.

Reason 1: it gets used every week

The biggest difference between a padel racket and a bottle of wine: a racket gets used. Weekly, often more than once. A keen player takes their racket out of the bag 100 to 200 times a year.

Compare that with a bottle of wine that is gone in an evening, or a smart pen that disappears into a drawer.

A padel racket with a company logo therefore generates real brand visibility. Every session is fresh exposure, and not only to the recipient but to their opponents, club mates and coaches. In brand terms it behaves like a modest advertising campaign, spread over years rather than weeks.

Reason 2: padel is growing fast in business circles

Padel is no longer a niche. Courts have been going up across Europe at pace since 2020. Office teams organise padel evenings, clients are invited for a match rather than a lunch, and business conversations increasingly happen on court.

Which means your clients and contacts either play padel or know people who do. A padel racket touches a live interest rather than something abstract.

Reason 3: it shows investment and attention

Giving someone a custom racket with their name on it, their company logo, or a date that matters to your relationship, signals that you have thought about it. Not a mass-produced gift, not an end-of-year obligation, but something specific.

In a professional relationship conducted mostly by email and video call, a physical sign of attention like that is surprisingly effective. Clients tell us recipients still bring it up months later, because the racket is sitting where they can see it.

Reason 4: it fits your brand if you handle it properly

A racket with nothing but a company logo on it is a generic promotional product. A racket designed in your house style, with a personal message for the recipient, is a corporate gift. The difference is in the detail.

What works well:

Carrying your house style through into the colours. Not black and white with a logo dropped on top, but the racket in your brand colour with the logo used sparingly.

The recipient’s name on the side. It stops the racket feeling like standard company merchandise.

A short message on the side, along the lines of TEN YEARS OF PARTNERSHIP or THANK YOU FOR WORKING WITH US. Small details that make it personal.

Gift packaging with a handwritten note. Not just a racket in a box, but some context with it.

Reason 5: the cost is reasonable for the effect

A quality corporate gift for top clients usually sits between €50 and €250 each. Custom padel rackets fall inside that range, €74 to €99 each on business orders, while the visibility runs for years rather than an evening.

Our tiered prices, ex VAT:

  • From 5 rackets: €99 each
  • From 10 rackets: €89 each
  • From 25 rackets: €79 each
  • From 50 rackets: €74 each
  • 100 rackets or more: individual quote

Individual names on each racket are included at no extra cost, which suits giving 15 top clients or 30 key partners a personalised racket. EU companies with a valid VAT number receive an invoice with the VAT reverse-charged. DHL shipping is charged per country and added separately.

When does it not work?

Honestly, a padel racket is not always the right call. Situations where something else is a better fit:

If your recipient does not play padel and has no interest in it. The racket then becomes an object with no purpose. Check beforehand that they have at least come across the sport.

In very formal relationships where everything is expected to stay understated and impersonal. At that level, wine is the safer choice.

In standardised bulk handouts where there is no room to add anything individual. The gift loses most of its force that way.

In small volumes under 10 rackets, where the price per racket has not dropped yet. You can order from a single racket, but in a business context the price per racket is then relatively high for the effect.

What does it deliver?

What clients tell us afterwards:

Stronger ties with key accounts. Clients who receive a custom racket feel recognised in a concrete way, and that tends to show in how the relationship holds up.

More word of mouth. Recipients talk about the gift. Several clients have told us they were asked about their racket often enough to send colleagues our way.

Better recognition within a specific sector. If your clients all work in one industry and run into each other on padel courts, the racket keeps working as visibility inside that community.

Open the designer and put a test version together. It costs nothing, and within ten minutes you will know whether it fits what you had in mind. Prefer to read up first? See our business page.
