Padel is no longer a niche sport. Almost everyone knows a keen player by now, which means a padel gift is turning up on more and more wish lists. But what do you give someone who already has a racket, shoes and a bag? Ten ideas, from the safe bet to a few you probably had not thought of. They work for Christmas, a birthday, Father’s Day, a wedding or a retirement; further down we explain how to match the idea to the occasion.
1. A custom padel racket with their name
First for a reason: a custom padel racket with the recipient’s name, their club or a date that matters to them. A step up from the standard bag-style cover to a premium model with a shoulder strap. A small gift that gets a lot of use, around €15 to €25 from various suppliers. A standard cover comes with every custom racket we make; the premium case is €10 extra.
3. Padel ball subscription
Keen players get through balls. A subscription that delivers a box of fresh padel balls every month is a gift that keeps on arriving. Around €15 a month from specialist suppliers.
4. A padel bag in premium material
Not the standard nylon bag from the club shop, but a leather or canvas model. Something you would carry even without a racket in it. Budget for €80 to €200, depending on the brand.
5. A block of padel lessons
For someone who is just starting out or wants to improve. Five lessons with a local padel coach. Especially useful for serious players who want to sharpen their technique. Prices vary, but expect €50 to €80 an hour.
6. A trip to a padel destination

For a stag or hen do, a group of friends, a school reunion or an office team: a set of five or more custom rackets with a shared design plus individual names. 10. Combine something personal with something practical
A recipe that rarely misses: a custom racket plus a separate extra (a premium case, a block of lessons, grips). Pair something emotional (a name on the racket, a personal message) with something functional (lessons, a grip). The message it sends: “I know you, and I know what you play.”
What works and what does not?
- Always works: something personal. A racket with a name, a bag with initials, a signed photo from their coach. Anything with a bit of the recipient in it.
- Works up to a point: generic sports accessories. A tube of padel balls with no context feels generic, with no visible effort behind it. As a stocking filler at Christmas it is fine; as a birthday present it is not.
- Does not work: a voucher for “a padel shop”. Too non-committal, with no thought behind it. If you really have no idea what someone wants, ask their playing partners for ideas and choose something concrete.
How do you decide what fits?
Think about three things.
How keen is the player? Beginners are often surprised by a custom racket; more experienced players think it is brilliant.
What is the occasion? For a wedding, a racket with the wedding date; for a retirement, a racket with a career theme; for Father’s Day, something like DAD THE CHAMPION; for a birthday, something more general.
What is your budget? A custom racket is the investment that makes the biggest impression; cases and balls are affordable extras.
