Padel team building: how custom rackets build team spirit

An afternoon or an evening of padel at a club near the office, with the whole team. The reason is simple: padel is easy to pick up, physical enough to raise a sweat without wearing anyone out, and it leaves natural gaps for conversation between matches.

Why padel works so well for teams

Four reasons.

Padel is inclusive. Unlike football or tennis, beginners and experienced players can keep each other busy on court. You do not have to be good to join in.

Padel is a doubles sport. You always play two against two, which forces colleagues to work together. At a team event that is exactly what you are after.

Padel is short enough. An hour to an hour and a half is manageable for everyone, including after a working day.

Padel lets you rotate. You play with one colleague, then another, so you end up on court with more of your team than in a one-to-one activity.

What custom rackets add

What does padel team building with custom rackets cost?

The total breaks down into three parts.

Court hire: allow €40 to €80 per hour per court at a padel club. For 10 people on 2 courts for 2 hours: €160 to €320.

Coaching, optional: a padel coach for an hour of instruction or to run the matches, €60 to €100.

Custom rackets: at 10 rackets €89 each ex VAT, so €890 in total. At 25 rackets €79 each, so €1,975. DHL shipping is charged per country and added separately.

For a team of 10 that puts the whole thing between roughly €1,050 and €1,200 for a full day plus a gift that stays. Compare that with a traditional away day with a programme and a dinner at the end: often €150 to €300 per person, so €1,500 to €3,000 for 10 people, with nothing to take home.

Book the venue

Book a padel club near the office. Ask whether they run a team package with court, coach and catering together; most clubs of any size do.

Design the rackets

Design the rackets with the team or company logo. Upload your logo, choose the colours and add text, along the lines of “Team XYZ 2026” or “Anniversary edition”.

Padel in the afternoon, dinner afterwards, and hand the rackets out at the end as a surprise. It works, in our experience better than handing them out on arrival.

One tip for the finish

Make handing out the rackets a moment. Not a practical “here is yours”, but a small ritual. A short word from the team manager, thanks for the season, the rackets handed over as a symbolic close.

If the rackets come out at the end of the day, after hours on court together, everyone already has a positive association with the racket in their head. That strengthens the effect.
